Catalytic converters help reduce dangerous emissions from exhaust systems and improve air quality for humans.  The catalytic converters utilize expensive rare elements, advancements in embedding smaller nano-sized platnium and palladium into ceramics in these devices have reduced the cost, while improving efficacy of catalytic converters.  These nano-enhanced catalytic converters have become many times less expensive than traditionally manufactured catalytic converters.
